stressing out.

Like I said at the beginning of october…the more people I get to know, the more insecure I get. I’m stressing out because now I have the connections but I’m afraid of taking it further. I am entering in a DJ competition with the hopes of actually getting somewhere but right now I got no call back or confirmation nor anything. I’m stressed also because this drinking thing is becoming a problem being in this industry its easy to get trapped and falling into the wrong crowd. My tolerance and the way shit was before has drastically changed. I’m also feeling like I’ve lost ALOT of my friends at flames and now it’s getting hard for me to adjust to the drastic changes this job Constantly goes through from juune to present time. Plus Music Blogs are not my point of interest anymore. They are almost becoming boring. On a previous post I just elaborated on how now all blogs I follow are doing is trolling around and not taking music as seriously as they used to; picking and targeting popular acts just for their interest. I cannot emphasize enough how much I care about GOOD music being shown so when people start targeting other artists based on their popularity I really begin to flip. I mean a healthy joke is all good but not 9 posts complaining about david guetta or 9 posts about how you dont think skrillex is dubstep NOR EDM…on top of that this house scene in calgary is limited to this passage music. David Guetta rip offs and shitty vocal eurotrash horrible music. I’m tired of hearing music like this at clubs. Not to mention I’m tired of not hearing Original Local music at clubs.

I guess what I’m trying to get at is that the scene that calgary once had changed not only because dubstep blew up and electro kind of died but also because of what radio plays right now…just trash. I stress out because for the most part its hard for me to find a solid group of DJs who share the same interests in me and I feel like an Outsider…its not fun.
